Identity verification is mandatory
A legal requirement since 18 November 2025: a new company's registration includes each director's Companies House personal code. Verification is free with GOV.UK One Login (biometric passport) or done through an authorised service provider.
UTR number
HMRC usually posts the UTR around 15 days after registration; it can take longer if you live overseas.
Bank & payment accounts
We handle the Wise and Stripe applications; approval is at each provider's discretion.
After incorporation
Each year: annual accounts, a Corporation Tax return and a confirmation statement. We can manage them with our UK accounting service.

No. Directors don't have to live in the UK; registration and identity verification can be done remotely. The company needs a UK registered office, which we provide.
In the UK an ID card alone isn't accepted; you need a passport or a driving licence. With our passport-free support you can proceed with your driving licence.
Annual accounts, a Corporation Tax return (CT600) and a confirmation statement. We can handle them with our UK accounting service.
