Frequently asked questions

Which obligations does the calendar cover?

In the US, federal (IRS) returns and your state's annual reports and taxes; in the UK, Companies House (confirmation statement, annual accounts) and HMRC (Corporation Tax, optional VAT) deadlines. It shows the next 24 months. Obligations that arise only with income or activity (such as sales tax, payroll, or state payments triggered above an income threshold) are not included.

What if a deadline falls on a weekend?

For the IRS and some states it moves to the next business day, and the calendar allows for that. Companies House deadlines do not move. State dates with no stated extension are marked.

How do I add the file to my phone?

iPhone, Mac and Outlook add the dates when you open the file, each with reminders 14 days and 1 day before. With Google Calendar, use the 'Google Calendar' link next to each date or import the file into Google Calendar from a computer.

Is my information sent anywhere?

No. Everything is worked out in your browser and the calendar file is created on your device; nothing is sent to our servers.

Are these dates definitive?

They follow the official rules but are not an official notice. For definitive dates, check your company on the Companies House register and your HMRC and IRS accounts, or talk to us.
